I am buying a Ford Mondeo Vignale on a 69 plate with no heated steering wheel function, can this be retro fitted at a dealer or Ford main dealer...I have heard through the Grapevine that it is because the micro chip was not fitted at the build stage

    No. Dealers won't retro fit equipment.

    Even if they would do the work they would only use new genuine Ford parts so the cost could easily reach over a thousand pounds.
