You'll not be getting a refund on a 3 year old car for any fault. What exactly is the issue and maybe some folk here can point you in the right direction of getting it rectified...

Sorry I didn’t make myself clear first timer oops 😬

I have a plug in kuga where I have not been able to charge it. Was part of the recall on thousands of them due to potential fire risk. Sorry not sure of right terminology. I was just wondering if there was/would be a claim for compensation as my fuel costs have increased. I normally charge between 12.30 and 7.30 am when my electric is considerably cheaper in comparison to the additional fuel.

Sounds like a similar issue in the late 1990s, where government proclaimed 'diesel' to be the fuel of the future, they subsidesed new car sales, pushed the bejesus out of them, then when critical mass reached, they hiked tax on diesel to raise the price of it to be above petrol where it has remained ever since.

An expensive lesson, but never trust government on anything they say on energy costs.

Good luck with your endeavour.

Knowing Ford it'd be fitted with a 7mm chain and the electric assistance wouldn't work.

Already a thread running on this in the Kuga section:

This is not the first issue with PHEV charging - there is stuff online going back to 2020 at least.
