Possible Ford Focus 1.6 2006 alternator damage

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have ford focus mk2 1.6 petrol. I replaced the105A alternator back in dec 2024 with a Starline alternator as the battery light kept coming on and this solved the issue.
My wife is learning to drive and readlined the engine yesterday which I think has damaged the Starline  alternator (bad smell and whining sound from alternator).

As I said it was a 105A alternator and I've found a Denso alternator on euro carparts rated at 120a. Would this be ok to install please?

Thank you.

Sean.
