Strange Ebay discount - why?

I bought an item off Ebay yesterday at a not unreasonable price for what I wanted at £99.99.

However, when I checked out, a discount of £20 was applied which I was delighted at, but still have no idea why that may have happened. Would be curious to know why in case I can replicate it for my next purchase! 😄

    There has been a couple of promotions recently, one giving a discount on car parts and another one for their App if you download and use it. I think that one is a one time only discount.

    I have had their app for ages though rarely use it to purchase, preferring my laptop. It was a car related item, so may have fallen into that 'car' promo...
