Hello.

My battery is dead after being on holiday and I have managed to mess around and finally get the bonnet to open without using the plastic cap level as its stuck behind the passenger door. My question is I attach the positives and negatives but everyone advises to attach the negative to an earth point rather than the battery which I had always done the battery before when I tried. My battery has a cable coming off to a bolt on the bodywork to the right which doesn't seem to connect anywhere else, is that the earth clamp? Can I just attach the negative to the bolt on the bodywork where the wire from the battery is?

    yes  connect the earth to the bolt on the body work and the red live to the battery live +
