Hi took my ford focus 2018 plate to ford this morning and they have suggested a new transmission but it’s coming up with this below has anyone else had this issue and if so how to repair:

    I think @DaveT70 (he may have beat me to it?) needs a bit more info e.g the exact type (manufacturer/model/reference etc) to allow suggestions to be made.

    Ford may only suggest an entire new transmisson whereas a specialist may be able to repair?

    I would be tempted to take the car to an automatic transmission specialist and nowhere near Ford again!

    It may be the pump or the sensor itself, or even wiring damage, but it could also be low on transmission fluid.

    A decent auto transmission specialist will be able to fix it for you

    You do have some other non transmission related to communication codes too though.

    So,

    How old is the battery on the car?

    I would be tempted to fit a new battery, clear the DTCs (fault codes) and see what happens though first.

    Not moving at all?

    Banging?

    Or slipping?

    Oh crickey, sorry, I've just seen that your profile says 2019 but your post says 2018

    It's important we know.

    2018 is a late MK3.5 with 4 cylinder 1.5 and 6F15 six speed  auto

    2019 is a MK4 (current shape) with a 3 cylinder 1.5 and 8F40 8 speed auto

    Mk 4 was launched mid 2018 so a late 2018 could be either, unfortunately.

    We just need the OP to confirm if Its a 6 speed with a lever type selector, or an 8 speed with the rotary selector.

    Definitely get the battery checked first as MK4 batteries are appalling
