New to the forum and cant seem to figure this out.  So looking for a bit of advice and guidance.  Apologies if this has been covered, but a search isn't coming up with anything useful

 

Added Power Fold Mirrors to my 2015 Titanium Focus. Mirrors with Puddle lights and the associated Drivers Windows controls which includes the power fold override button installed.  The car has Single touch window closure, so led to believe the wiring is right.  Cabling to the mirrors is 9 wires drivers (OS) and 12 Passenger (NS).  I've enabled the power fold with For scan and also found the puddle lights and enabled (these Work).  But the power fold mirrors wont activate using the internal door switch or the key.  Am I missing something here ?  any help greatly appreciated 

I think you need front & rear electric windows with door modules for this to work

thank you.  I've had a quick google search, but not obvious what Module I would need.  I assume my car has Window Modules already, but this would be an upgraded module.

How many windows are electric?

Should be all of them on a Titanium.

Yes all 4 of them.  and they have 1 touch opening for all 4.

I've located the control module for the rear Windows DCM module under the rear OS  seat.  And the front Module in the Drivers door.  Assume i would have to replace one or both of these ?

Any advice if these are the correct window modules? If there wrong appreciate it if the correct part number can be shared and I’ll order.

Would the rear door module not be similar looking to the front door version and mounted within the door itself?

Just try activating power fold in the door modules as well first

Yes.  The one pictured under the rear seats is for the fuel pump.

I thought I’ve done that already or it might be only the BCM that I enabled. I’ll check when I get home. Thanks

All the wires in the mirror connector on the door harnesses match the mirror plug? Yes?

They look right

There aren't any unconnected pins in the mirror?

I don’t think so, but as both mirrors don’t fold, guess it would have to be the same on both sides. I’ll check tonight and confirm.

So new problem.   It sure if this has been seen before.  Tried to access Forscan DDM Module and when I connect I get a “Service Procedure has been interrupted” and sits on about 7%.
quick google search and removed 3rd part devices. 
tried a different laptop no joy.

any ideas ?

I’ve got the ELM config lead. But order a lead that says it’s specifically designed for Forscan from Amazon

Wrong type of lead for vehicles built 2013 onwards.

When you have the new lead, you will need to delete any saved profiles of the vehicle made using the old ELM and make FORScan do a full rescan with the vLinker FS.

So didn't work.  New cable came today, and deleted the Forscan Profile and let it rescan, same error.  

At a loss as to what could be the issue.

Did you ensure laptop was connected to internet when you did new scan?

I wasn't 100% sure if i was connected to the Internet.  SO reran the whole process.  Confirmed connected to the Internet.  ran through all the other modules and the only modules I get this error with is DDM and PDM. 

The only other Mods I've made to the car is:

1. Installing the boot loom and genuine Ford reversing camera - works fine.

2. Updated the Sync 2 entertainment system to Sync 3 with the latest software.  

Nothing else.  

ive run a diagnostic check against the car and an error

"lost communication with door control module A".  As im getting no where fast.  my next thought was to replace the Door control Module.  However a quick ebay search has the DDR module to be BV6N-14B531-BJ and the one in my car is BV6N-14B531-FA" given im trying to get the powerfold mirrors to work. Any advice on which one to buy ?
