Thanks

When I got the kit I showed the kit in it's box on a Facebook Escort Cosworth group, one owner of a Cossie wanted to buy the finished model off me but he wanted it in black and leave off the rally stickers, told him it's not really forsale as it's something I've wanted to build up again, he must of been desperate as he offered me £500 for the kit & £100 for building it & £100 for the electrics, I still turned him down, son said I was a lunatic to decline such a mad offer, money would have been nice but there's no way i'd ever get another kit at a bargin price of £100 excluding paint & electrics.

Iconic livery for the Cossie. I got that kit a long time ago and still have it. Did a few upgrades - new prop shaft, speed controller and motor. Had the wrong wheels originally so I was chuffed to find the matching Compmotive wheels at a later date.

If you got the kit for £100 that’s an amazing bargain, think it’s a classic now amongst RC collectors

For guy wanting to splash cash buying it off you he should look at the HPI WR8 - a well proven 1:8 scale car and now available with Escort Cosworth body shell - just buy the clear shell and paint it black. If there was a sticker kit with the blue tiger stripes I’d buy it for one of mine even if they don’t get used now.

Also got a Focus shell for the Cossie though never used it on the car, then the WR8’s were Fiestas plus I fitted a Rally Puma shell off another brand, again too pretty to use in anger

Great to see the Cosworth you've got, not fibbing over the price of it, never find such a bargin again.

I've looked upon the 1/8th car, not into the grey/blacked out windows, makes it look cheap, showed my son the bigger cosworth and he's been umming & arring for a month now, the nitro version would be mint.

Ian,

The word "Cosworth" appears in the previous post,  which reminded me that I have an unmade (and unlikely to be made!) Racing 43 white metal kit RK 53.  I have had it so long, the price label is in DM !

I was going to put it in a charity shop, but if you are interested, please pm me.

Hello Paul.

I've been making models for many years now and never heard of that kit manufacturer before, learn something new every day, I'll have to look up this manufacturer, see what else they do, at 1/43rd she'll be a right nipper..... Last time I made the Sierra's was in the late 90's, making the Texaco & Trampio two door Tamiya versions

How much you wanting for it ?

Cheers.
Ian.

That's one thing with a unbuilt kit pal, can't arrived smashed up, though I did sell a couple of kits on ebay a long time ago, one buyer tried to scam me telling me parts was broken and wanted a full refund and also wanted to keep the kit and not return it, [scamming me] He opened a case against me 'Item arrived smashed'....... I asked him to take pictures of the smashed parts, he took the photos which showed no smashed parts but parts had come off the sprues, something that happens to many kits, even brand new ones off the shelf in a model shop, ebay sided with me and he didn't get a full refund but got a warning from ebay.
