Injector removal tool

Featured Replies

Trying to find out what removal tool I need to remove injectors 1.5 tdci cmax 2017

Why do you need to remove them???

Normally, there are clamp bolts that need to be re-tightened to specific torque/rotation AND the dodgy leak off pipes that need real care and even with that, the teeny weeny green (?) clips can crack requiring replacement.
Depending on the design, this may help:

Beyond that, if there has been leakage past the copper washers then the injector may be seized in place needing twisting and the hole then cleaning out (rotary wire brush)  AND the copper washer can stick at the bottom of the hole needing some tool to remove it:

There's a leak off test here:

And they need to go back in the same place otherwise the calibration will be wrong.

Thanks I’m replacing the seals as I have two that are chuffing

Perhaps, when you are that far down, consider recutting the seats (especially if it has been leaking for a while)?:

or:

My main concern with this work is to avoid anything going into the cylinders so maybe constant vacuuming and/or grease to pick up swarf etc?:
At the very worst, it's this (and, on another he uses  a rotary wire brush):

I don't know the torque/rotation settings which are crucial? and depending on the design even within engines clamps can be different:

e.g. for 2012 C-Max 1.6 Duratorq (nearest I have but wrong)
Stage 1: 7 Nm
Stage 2: 85°
OR
Stage 1: 7 Nm
Stage 2: 80°

Need to find yours?
Best to be prepared?
