How to figure out what chip my key has

Recently got my first car a 2009 ford focus Lx and wanted to get a second key. I can program it myself so I was going to buy a blank key and program that but I dont know what chip is in my original key. 

Is there anyway to find out myself and save $300 or do I need a locksmith to do it for me.
