Warm Start Issue on Ford Fiesta

Featured Replies

I believe I am encountering a warm start issue on my ford fiesta 1.25 Zetec 2009 model. On cold start the engine always starts fine. However if I turn the engine on and the engine warms up it, the engine does not start and wheezes. If I take the key out and try again a couple times it starts but really trying to solve this issue ASAP. Have checked fuses and don’t think it’s a fuse issue. Ran an OBD test, no codes coming up.

Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone know how to fix this.

DUPLICATE POST.

See FIESTA forum.

I would get a scan tool that will show you livestream data and pid files. You might find that a sensor is not working properly in closed loop. You don’t mention the mileage on your odometer  or if you have recently, in the past three months, had any work done on the Fiesta that entailed removing components to make a repair.
scanning for livestream data when it is cold started and then when it is hot started and reviewing the O2 and map sensor values would be where I would begin.
