Where to get a key cut?

Featured Replies

2013 Kuga came with only one fob and key. I have bought another fob and got it programmed to the car but I need a key cut to fit inside the fob same as the one I already have. Tried two Timpson's, one said he couldn't do it due to insurance, second said he could supply me with a new fob and key or an old style key with the plastic end on it that wouldn't fit in the fob without a lot of faffing around with hacksaw and file. Not ideal. Anyone any idea as to who could cut me a new key identical to the one that I have?

An independent Shoe Repairer often cuts keys, or you could Google independent locksmith.

It's the car that gets programmed to recognise the key, not the other way around. Unless of course you are Timpsons who only do cloned keys (very bad practice).

Well it works no matter which end is programmed! lol I have a feeling I am going to have to go down the old fashioned key route and put both key and fob on a keyring if I can't get a key cut that is the correct shape to fit into the fob.
