2009 S-Max Titanium Tdci 173 (Harsh Suspension)

Featured Replies

Does anyone owning one of these S-Max's feel that the suspension is very harsh? I have taken it to two garages who say apart from play in a rear axel bush, the suspension is fine.

I've never owned one of these before until 8 weeks ago, but when going over rough ground and bumps, there can be harsh vibrations within the cabin. The mechanics have said that the bush wouldnt cause this, but I don't know what else it could be. Perhaps the S Max suspension is just that stiff?

Also, there is a loud squeak coming from around the rear passenger footwell, but am having difficult defining whether it is an internal squeak or underneath the car..... any ideas?

Thanks

What size wheels and tyres does it have?

Budget tyres can also be a factor in harsh rides.
