Hi all,

has anyone ever experienced a sudden loss of steering while driving? Complete loss of steering ( steering lock) while driving. Fortunately I was able to stop safely. Restarted the car and steering was fine again.

plugged into a friends diagnostics and got these messages. Doesn’t seem to be a common issue but a serious one for sure.

 

any advice?

car has full Ford service history and no prior warnings of a low battery FYI.

    That is a very scary fault! There is no way I would drive that car till that issue was properly diagnosed & repaired...

    Hi. sounds like high pressure line assembly for power steering needs replacing. Not a big job👍 good luck 🤞
