Just wondering could anyone tell me how I know where to find out where  my car was build I have a 1950 Ford prefect

Well it would either be built in England or Australia, but it would seem a long way from home if you have an Australian one !! 🤣

When I read the title of the post I thought that Ford had brought the Prefect name back for an electric car.🙂

Microsoft  suggests that the E493A Ford Prefect was probably built at Dagenham

I believe the original Ford assembly plant at Trafford Park (Manchester) produced its last car around the early 1930s when Dagenham opened, while production at Halewood only started in the early 1960s.

I think we have yet another OPW. There seems little point in this thread being continued. 🙁

The answer was only posted a couple of hours ago. It could take a while longer for him to come back in a 75 year old Prefect!😀
