disabling autolock

Featured Replies

Hi, this is my first post so please bear with me! I'm a wheelchair user and have a Wheelchair accessible vehicle,  Ford Tourneo Connect. The autolock feature is inconvenient for me,  especially the way it relocks if a door isn't opened in a specific time. I looked on YouTube and found some instructions but nothing works. The dealer was no help so I thought I'd ask here,

Many thanks

Seoras

Hi,

The feature you want to disable is auto-relock, not auto-lock.  This is part of the security system (needed for insurance rating tests) so I don't think Ford would allow customers to disable it unfortunately.

Just need to understand what you mean by 'autolock' as there are a few different operations that use that terminology.

Are you meaning that you press the unlock button on the keyfob to open the vehicle, and then before you have a chance to open one of the doors the vehicle automatically re-locks itself ?

Thanks for helping me. Yes this is exactly what I meant. Not sure if it can be changed though given the info supplied by TomsFocus

I'll try and take a look at the setting of my Focus and Ranger to see if there is anything that can be changed. It will probably be Friday before I get chance to check.

Forscan is the only way to deactivate auto re-locking
