2023 FIESTA ST ENQUIRY

Featured Replies

Good morning

Can someone please enlighten me as to wether the Ford Fiesta ST 2023 plate has the wet belt system or is it the more reliable chain system ,

Many thanks in advance

All STs (1.5) have a chain for the cams and a wet belt to drive the oil pump so oil changes are still important and no additives

On the ST the chain and oil pump drive belt require replacement at 150k miles or 10 years, whichever first:

  • Oil Pump Drivebelt and Timing Chain -- Every 150 000 miles/10 years - Renew (LTS 21 716 5) Vehicles built from 02/25/2019 only

Probably at least as expensive as replacing wet belts but afaik we haven't seen anyone have them done yet.
