It's what many Ford owners use including some Ford technicians.

For diagnostic use only:

If it's a custom tourneo ,Switch ign on, press and hold brake pedal and accelerator pedal down for 30secs or so.  or used to be.

Don't know for connect tourneo( VW)

So I have tried that unfortunately as soon as you put your foot on brake car fire up ,

Your doing it in the wrong order.

Feet off both peddles.

Press the ignition switch. The ignition will turn 'on' the engine will not start.

Keep finger off the ignition button. Leave the ignition on.

Now using both feet at the same time, press the brake and accelerator peddles fully down and hold for 30 seconds or so.

Is it automatic?

Then your car has a fault. With the ignition already turned on, putting your foot on the brake should not start the engine. That is a serious safety concern.

Since you say this is a 2025 model, it will be covered by the Ford warranty.

Just for reference ,which tourneo is it?

custom ,connect or courier?

This is for the custom tourneo. Good old Google.

Ah! I got no idea then. Connect is VW through and through. Will see what I can find out tommorow.

All the VW Group vehicles I've had with the extended oil service regime were dealer reset only iirc.

I've reset Mk7 Golf through the dash fairly easily (after checking YouTube!).  Had to do it twice for both oil service and inspection service.  But the newest ones are probably different.

Thought you might have found an "unofficial" way, Tom! I didn't need to as I put mine onto the annual change regime after the first oil change anyway.

Remembered I had downloaded a handbook while looking at another query on this model, but didn't spot anything about oil life reset**. Not to say there isn't an unofficial method for that, though.

https://www.ford.co.uk/support/vehicle/tourneo-connect-2022/2025/owner-manuals

The handbook does look more VW than Ford - these models based on something else are a bit of a puzzle - e.g. Mk 2 Ka/Fiat 500 and no doubt we'll find similar with the Explorer/Capri/ID4, etc if the Ford/VW partnership continues.

**EDIT: Think I've found it. Page 32 of the handbook.

I do have a VCDS clone to use if necessary, but it's hassle getting the laptop and cables downstairs.

Turns out it's even easier than a Ford BMS reset...

Looks like the Tourneo might be even easier if what I found in the handbook is correct. Apparently you can reset the service reminder also.

with the Explorer/Capri/ID4 based on scalextric ? 🤣

We got a track for these . At least they don't have oil reset procedure. 🤣🤣
