2013 S max No Bluetooth issue

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone i hope someone can help me with this issue please as im all out of ideas🙏  So everything has been fine with the car up until recently when our phones wouldn't connect to the car via Bluetooth.

I have unpaired from car and phone but when i tried to re pair devices its as though the car unit is not transmitting a Bluetooth signal. i have tried different devices to make sure it wasn't my phone but no joy.

In desperation i even disconnected the battery for a while in case some of the electronics had crashed but that did not solve the issue.

I checked hand book to see if there was a fuse for Bluetooth but could not find any reference for this, I am not sure whether it has a separate Bluetooth module or is it built into the head unit?

Contacted my local Ford dealer for some technical help on the off chance they may be helpful and have had this problem. All they could offer was to plug into diagnostics and charge £170 quid for doing so 🤣

If anyone has had this issue & knows how to resolve, would be much appreciated.

That's a difficult one to answer, there is about 50 or more radio versions used on the S-Max.

Some have a separate bluetooth module and some have it built in. I suspect that yours is built in, but I'm not totally sure.
