Hi there I have a ford galaxy zetec and a ford galaxy titanium x auto… the gearbox on the titanium x has failed and too expensive to repair so I’ve decided to use it to replace certain stuff in my zetec like the seat’s possibly the lights (will create another forum on that) and I want to change all four doors aswell as the zetec ones are in a bad state but Does anyone know if this will affect the central locking and if it does how do I avoid it… right now I don’t plan on taking off the door cards I was going to take of the door and put it on the other but if I have to take things off from inside the door card I don’t mind just not sure what to take off

also will the puddle lights under the wing mirrors work aswell as the zetec doesn’t have them

not sure if anyone will know much about this topic but much appreciated  if someone does

how about you post some photos of your Super Duty F450 XL ? They are not a common vehicle here in the UK.

Changing the doors can affect central locking. The lock actuators and wiring must match between the two cars. If the connectors are the same, it may work without changes. If not, you might need to swap the actuators and wiring from the Zetec doors into the Titanium X doors.

For puddle lights, they only work if the car has wiring and control for them. The Zetec does not have them, so you would need to add the wiring and a switch module from the Titanium X.

You will probably need to remove the door cards to access actuators, wiring, and connectors safely. Take your time and label connectors to avoid mistakes.
