Error UO401:00:28 + Error P24C7:00:27

Featured Replies

Hi all looking for some help again, I have a launch scanner and have a couple of error codes and need some help desperately.

I have recently installed a new dpf performed a relearn values but now have the boost error codes listed and van has no boost, but also have this communication error code and now have a dash like a Christmas tree with stability control, hill assist and spanner, the lights do not come on as soon as you start the van but after a short drive I get first stability control then hill assist.

Codes are:

U0401:00:28   Invalid data received from ecm/pcm 'A'

P24C7:00:27    Particulate temp sensor range/performance         I think sensor is faulty and need to change but £130 wow.

P2563:00:6c  Turbo charge boost control position sensor 'A' circuit range/performance

P2599:00:E8   Turbo charger boost control position sensor 'A' performance - stuck high

I have installed a new dpf, new maf sensor, new dpf preasure sensor, new waste gate actuator.

I am now considering a new vacum pump, does anyone have any advice or know what the sub codes relate to.

Best advice I can offer is put it back in the draw and forget about it.

Then get FORScan (software is free, and a full licence is £12).

You need to get all the Ford specific DTC's

FORScan (for use with Windows Laptop) : https://forscan.org/download.html

It's what many Ford owners use including some Ford technicians.

OR

For diagnostic use only:

I do have Forscan but for some reason my v linker has or something has decided not to communicate, I bought the launch as I have other vehicles that I use it on, not just the Ford.

Maybe I need to work out the issue with my v linker or Forscan

Thank you Unofix, I now have Forscan on my phone, purchased a licence, I am now trolling the Forscan forums for help as well.

The Forscan on my desktop seemed a lot easier to use but this one now seems more options are accessible maybe as I was only using the free 2 month trial, only thing is as a novice to these I am unsure of what I need to scan, here are some photos of live data being read.

i's quite cool how it looks though but I'm concerned has my relearn of soot load that I performed on the Launch failed as the Forscan keeps saying unable to perform.

Hi Stephen, what DTC's does FORScan show ?

@Tizer is the best to offer advice on what to live monitor, it's probably easier to view as a table while looking at data rather than the gauge style

I think FORScan will not do a relearn because of the duff reading from the Particulate Temperature Sensor. You should be able to Monitor this, I would expect the Temperature to be 2 to 300C with a hot Engine under normal driving and 500c or more when Regeneration is occurring.

Other than that everything else looks ok and I can't think of anything else to Monitor other than any other Exhaust Temperatures  if they are shown, some cars have more than one Sensor.

Ordered a new temp sensor, should be here in a couple of days.

I think I managed to perform a relearn but I'm now concerned that if it never cleared the values when I first installed the dpf would it not have tried to perform regens with a assumed high soot load! If so could that damage the new dpf? And the numbers I have for the soot load were these high or normal at 126%

Hi all again, to date have installed these all new.

New dpf, both temp sensors for dpf, dpf preasure sensor, maf sensor, boost solenoid, waste gate actuator.

Traction control and hill descent lights are OFF, no longer getting boost error code but the light came on for temperature sensor range incorrect after 2 days of driving (forgot to get code) but van drives perfect, question is do I need to perform any relearns after replacing all these items.

Thank you in advance

There should be a Relearn option in Service Procedures for some of the DPF related things, they should be relearned after fitting new parts.
