Issues with P06DF & P0683 (13) glow plug issues

Featured Replies

Hi all

It's really doing my head in now 2018 1.5tdci.

The following codes P06df & P0683 are showing under forscan (no EML light is on and using a obd all like torque it does not show.)

So luckily I have a other 1.5tdci focus 😊 so firstly I changed the glow plugs over and still the fault showed.

So then i went down the line of the relay (under the light) so swapped it out my other car that had no faults still the codes were present 😡 😡.

I then checked the voltage on the working car at the glow plugs on cold goes from 10-12v for a couple of seconds then around 4v for around 10 perfect.

Did the same procedure on the other car no voltage at all.

So checked continuity from the relay plug to each glow plug power supply and there was.

I tested too see if 12v was at the glow plug relay which there is but now I'm at a lost end.

I know I have a fully working set of plugs and relay so what else.

Any ideas if you have come across this many thanks Simon

From that code it looks a broken signal wire between glowplug module and PCM.
