Hi has anyone used a kingbolen ediag elite on their ford focus mk 17 plate diesel yet and does it actually work well or are there to many limitations and non supported restrictions IE for testing motors relays and other items please if you can let me know your oppositions thankyou.

Most of us use ForScan which is free software for a Windows laptop with a VLinker cable to connect the laptop to the car. This combination reads Ford specific diagnostic code which are much more relevant than the generic codes read by other code readers. It can also change settings in modules on the car and perform Ford service procedures. 

FORScan:

There are basically two types of FORScan. One for a windows laptop, which can do all diagnostics and also programming, and the alternative is the one for use with a mobile phone. It can do all the same diagnostics as the windows version but it can't make programming changes. The phone version can still clear/reset all DTC's and also reset service reminders such as the oil.
