Ford Focus MK2 ST-3 Help

Featured Replies

I have acquired a 2009 Ford Focus MK2.5 ST3, its a great car but has a few little issues.

The auto headlights / auto wipers stay on all the time, codes that comes up is "U2030 - Rain Sensor Communication Fault" and code B1792

It had a Travelpilot NX radio, Bluetooth works for calls but not for Bluetooth audio?

And occasionally a U1900 instrument cluster code it goes away for a while but sometimes comes back but not noticing any symptoms.

Also 2 of the rear Parking Sensors dont work, as have codes for those too, would that stop everything from working?

Thanks in advance.

Replace the windscreen Rain Sensor/light Sensor. The lights are only on because the wipers are on.

Way back in the dark ages of 2009, streaming of music via Bluetooth was not a thing. The system was only developed to handle phone calls.

Common problem with the 2010 instrument cluster. It just needs refurbished, recommend @rd457

If even only one sensor is faulty then the whole system turns off until the sensor(s) are replaced.

Thanks! Even when I have the wipers in the off position, the auto lights still stay on when in auto mode during the day. Is it hard to replace the rain sensor?

And thanks for all of that as well I'll look into getting the cluster refurbished.

My mums S max has the same stereo same year and that plays bluetooth audio in it weirdly.

The sensor is stuck to the front windscreen just behind the review mirror. The plastic cover behind the mirror just pulls off. You will need a new sensor, and a new clear gel pad to fix the sensor to the screen. Make sure to clean it with Isopropanol (IPA) before sticking it back on.
