Ive got a 2016 5 door, would a towbar from a Mk 4 fit mine

    No, you need a MK3.5 compatible towbar as the MK4 has a different type approval design

    When you look up towbars they will say compatible years, you want one that is 2014 to 2018 (MK3.5) the chassis is the same on MK3 and 3.5 but the wiring is different

    Ive seen a towbar advertised from a 2014 Zetec, will it  fit my 2016 Titanium. Is the towbar universal & the ball specific to a model because of the bumper shape

    I'm assuming it's a used one? If it is, I'd advise against buying a used towbar as they are a bit of a gamble as to their actual condition and if something goes wrong, it's less likely the insurance will pay out. In terms of bumpers, a zetec and titanium are the same rear number, the only ones that are different are st-line and ST so number cuts will be in same place on your car
