Galaxy automatic issues

Featured Replies

Hi all , I'm desperate for some help, I have a 14 plate Galaxy powershift that has had the usual issues, not a problem there , the box removed, all new internals fitted and replaced, here's where it became sticky, it just wont learn its values, at stage one when the process is initiated, the revs on the engine usually drop to 3500 / 3000 , in this case it red lines, so we have to abort the process.

we have removed the gearbox , checked our work three times, replaced the gear selector as it apparently had a fault, replaced the gearbox module and even the main engine module, all programmed in by a Ford tech using ford computer, but still it wont program , as soon as we start the process on either the launch or the ford computer we get the same result, it just red lines. there are no fault codes in the car or the gearbox and the brake pressure is good, also the pedal box works as it should on live data,  but it must be looking for something that's missing, I'm at a total loss now .

so in conclusion I'm hoping someone out there has had the same issue when trying to program their gearbox and it just red lined at the first stage and are cleverer than i am

Thank you all in advance

Steve

Welcome!
As in my last post, I don't have any real idea (but would like to know!)
My only suggestion would be to try Forscan (with approved lead) both to check for fault codes, interrogate live data and use the set up process?
This is our weapon of choice but surprised that the Ford software hasn't done it.

You may get more answers if you post in the GALAXY forum 🤔

You had (and still have ) broken wires NOT broken gearbox internals

Get the wiring checked
