Replacing faulty BCM

Featured Replies

When you replace a BCM do the part numbers have to be an exact match? Found an identical BCM but it has a different part number

Yes the part number has to be an 'exact' match, except the very last letter which can be different.

@unofix I recall you said a replacement would have to be same or "later" letter (just for clarity for @Snorbz41?
Is that right?

That is indeed correct.

If the last letter is a 'B' then it can be replaced with a 'C' or 'D' etc. etc.

It should not be replaced by an 'A'

I didn't mention that detail since it is a 2018 model the OP is unlikely to find an earlier version of the BCM. 👍
