prices for wet belt replacement? 1 litre ecoboost

Featured Replies

Hi all, I've got a 2017 1 litre ecoboost titanium (125)which has full service history, but is almost hitting 61k miles.

So I'm starting to get twitchy about getting the belt done sooner rather than later.

I've seen plenty videos of the work involved, was just wondering how much folk have paid or been quoted for this, as it certainly looks like a fair bit of work, apparently water pump generally replaced at same time.

Thanks in advance, Col.

I don't know what prices are like but I've seen a Garage in Midlothian advertising that they specialise in Wet Belt replacement.

I can't remember the name or town other than it was one of the ones to the south of Edinburgh and have no idea if they are well rated or not.

Thanks for that @unofix, that was the one.

They sound confident enough and I must admit to preferring out of town places for things like that rather than the city ones.

thanks for that, i'll give them a shout. not far from me, as i'm in edinburgh

I had my wet belt done on my Focus in July. I was quoted around a £ 1000 and then when it was almost finished they recommended some additional work & parts whilst the job was stripped down, so it ended up at £ 1340. I was happy as I haven't a clue and didn't know whether the belt had been done, and hopefully the car is now good for a further 50000-75000 miles. I now change the oil & filter myself every 3 months as I have been advised to do this with only doing a very low mileage (it is a second car for when the wife takes the main one). North Yorkshire Area.
