Rear Bumper removal

Featured Replies

Hi as anyone removed focus mk4 rear bumper. How many bolts is there. Any advice would be appreciated.
thanks people

It's fairly easy, there is a few clips in the wheel arches, with two bolts per side, the rest is all exposed and pretty self explanatory when your looking at it.

Do I have to take the wheels off to get to clips thanks for reply

I didn't when I did mine, but it would be easier to access with the wheels off but it's not necessary.

Not sure if your model is any different from my ST with regards bumper retaining locations but from memory there is 1 x screw inside the each of rear wheel arches, 1 x torx either side at the boot opening space near the rear light cluster. And then lastly underneath the rear bottom several plastic xmas tree retainer clips and I seem to recall screws which go up into the aluminium exhaust shield plate.
