18 inch vs 17 inch Wheels

I have a 2020 ST line X with 18 inch alloys. I find the ride quality too firm on many local roads and am considering swapping to the 17 inch alloys found on the standard ST line.

I am wondering if any other members have made the swap and if the ride comfort improved noticeably?

Or maybe somebody has been able to compare the ST line and ST line X directly ?

I believe the suspension is identical on both models.
