I'm at my wicks end trying to get a replacement fuel tank filler pipe for my 1999 ford focus LX estate does anyone know where I might get one

have tried main ford dealers no luck ebay after (check to see if part fits ) all state no part won't fit

Hi,

The compatibility checker on eBay isn't great.

As long as you get the right body style and the right fuel type for a Mk1 then it probably will fit.

It will depend if it's a petrol or diesel model.

To the link of that one Tom that could be wrong too strangely.. the 1.8 l had was a DAW model. why they would be any diffrent is totally strange as they are all fitted the same way. Engine area would be understandable as parts are routed according to the engine fitted but body wise estate / hatch there just the same apart from the engine mounts ?

As to getting a second hand 1 you might find that very hard nowadays they seem to be like gold dust in the sense of people stripping the estate.
