Car camping

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I'm planning to go camping in my 67 plate ST line.

The boot door will be open for several hours and I'm worried it will drain my battery. I have seem online that I can trick it by pushing the latch in with screw driver or something like that. Has anyone done this before? How do I trick it back to thinking it's open? Do I just I've the boot handle like if it was closed to release it back?

After 12 minutes the car will just turn off the boot light. The battery won't go flat

Just make sure you turn the alarm off, and you can trick it that the door is shut by doing the screwdriver to latch the boot latch, but remember to unlatch it before your try to shut the boot because at the very least you will be scratching your head as to why it isn't latching and worst case scenario you damage the latch.
