Minor Service details

Featured Replies

Just been emailed that my Ford Focus needs a 7-year service early 2026. According to Ford, the 7-year service is only an “Inspection Service”, but I am not happy with this. It is my first diesel Ford and I have always changed the oil and filter every year on other makes I have owned. I have been advised that if I require oil and filter change, I should book a “Minor Service” instead of an “Inspection Service”. Can anyone confirm that an oil and filter change is included in a “Minor Service”. Thanks in advance.

You can book whatever service you like. You have as much or as little work done as you're willing to pay for.

Of course. But as the scheduled 7-year-service required was (according to Ford) only an “Inspection Service”, I wanted to know if the “Minor Service” that Ford offer includes oil and filter. Have since discovered that Ford also offer an “Essential Service” specifically for cars that are out of warranty. The “Essential Service” includes an oil and filter change that I require. But thanks anyway.
