Verona Alarm Problem

Featured Replies

My Verona (2000 1.8) alarm is starting to become a real pain. Up until three weeks ago, we never knew we had an alarm (never gone off in six years), and then suddenly it starts to go off, usually around five minutes after locking it. The key fob works - locks, unlocks, sets alarm.

All I want to do is disable the alarm, because it is driving me and the neighbours mad. I don't mind just being able to lock the car, but I don't want the siren and lights flashing.

Thanks,

Andy

Could be a faulty alarm sensor, possibly due to water ingress

Thanks, I really need to just turn the thing off, because I cannot find any of the sensors, the owner's manual does not tell me anything, and the Haynes manual does not seem to help either. I just want some peace and quiet.

Andy
