Model - 2024 third quarter of the year

Model - 2025 half way through the year

Model - 2025 third quarter of the year.

Calendar quarters

  • Q1: January, February, March
  • Q2: April, May, June
  • Q3: July, August, September
  • Q4: October, November, December

Yes, it's a date identifier as Unofix says. In my fleet buying days this usually  indicated a change of spec when a competitor (usually Vauxhall back then) had temporarily got one jump ahead.

E.g. One year Vauxhall stunned Ford by fitting a radio/cassette to 'L' spec Cavaliers!😀

Thanks. I assume as they are on Ford's official site, this was the date they were manufactured, and not pre-registered?

You can tell I've never bought a brand new car before, only second hand?  😆

Yes.

Manufacturers model years can often misalign to actual calendar dates, usually ahead in time of build dates to give time for those cars to get through the distribution system and land at showrooms.

Not as obvious to spot once models have gone out of production

Those part number changes can definitely be confusing when cross-referencing. I was looking at https://casinosanalyzer.com/free-slots-online/Book-of-Ra , and it made me appreciate clear labeling and documentation a lot more.

Thank you so much, you made my day.
