Replacement of O2/Lambda Sensor on a Ford Focus Mk.4 hatch

Featured Replies

A few weeks ago the Engine Warning light came on.

I went to my local garage almost immediately and they diagnosed a faulty catalytic converter sensor.

They reset the fault and told me the car was safe to drive.

For various reasons I didn't use the car for a couple of weeks but when I did the EW lit up again.

I went back to the garage and they replaced the sensor on the same day.

What surprised me is that it was done under warranty.

I've done a bit of Googling and nothing I read indicates that the warranty covers a car bought new in March 2019 and with nearly 90,000km on the clock.

I suppose I have two points/questions:
1 - Does anyone know why this might be covered?
2 - If you have a similar problem then maybe a good starting point would be "of course this is covered under the warranty".
