Fiesta Zetec Mk7 1.25l

Featured Replies

I know everyone gonna say to get a 1.4l or 1.6l but at the moment that’s not an option as insurance will be through the roof on that for me.

So i would like to know where i can find cosmetic mods for my Zetec 1.25l fiesta as when i search online i can only seem to find results for Zetec S cosmetic mods.

I would like a new rear diffuser preferably one with space for an exhaust on the back so i can add an exhaust (just because i like the way it looks).

and any other suggestions for cosmetic mods i could add.

Thank you

If you are worried about insurance costs I would have thought it was best to keep the vehicle standard. All modifications need to be reported to your insurer and they may well make a charge even for cosmetic changes.

Hi Casey,

Yes, I'd second Paul on that. The 1.25 is great fun to drive - no need to make apologies for it - and you'll learn a lot doing so.

But it is what it is - I'd recommend  sticking to keeping brakes, tyres and suspension in good order and concentrate on building up your NCD.

(Just a heads up - I see you also posted your query in the Guides section which as is intended for posting step by step instructions on doing something, for the benefit of others, not for queries. That section is confusing though - we keep complaining about it.)

..........standby,

Dan

If you just want a visible exhaust, a lot of people have simply used an angled tailpipe trim so it sticks out below the diffuser. Otherwise you are looking at changing the diffuser for a ZS or ST one with exhaust mods which is not a cheap option., Insurance issues aside.

I think you are right. I'll perhaps adopt the approach from one of your other posts where you basically said "if you come back and answer this post I'll help you" or words to that effect. Would save a lot of wasted time.

It's only so @unofix can't laugh at me🤪
