Fird Focus 2013 1.6TDI

As you will be aware of. In my car there  is an A button which I assume is for the cars engine to cut out when not in motion. However it  doesnt work on my car. When I press it it doesn't work. Is there any reason for that. When my car stops the engine still runs.

Thanks

The Fird Focus is a strange animal, and not often seen in the wild 🤣

There are between 112 to 114 reasons why Stop/Start has decided not to stop your engine. The system is designed to only stop the engine when it decides all conditions are correct, and not when the driver thinks it should.

If you want to know which of the reasons that the car considers not to be correct then you can use FORScan and view all 114 parameters.

Rejoice in the added longevity of your engine!
