Thinking of Buying Used Ford Fiesta

Featured Replies

Hi guys. I am thinking of buying a Ford Fiesta 998 (2013) manual transmission. The mileage on the car is 166k. The timing belt was changed at 140k. The price the seller is offering 3000 euro. I know there are issues with wet belt but given the factor that the belt was changed 1 year ago, and the car looks in good condition, will it be a bad idea to buy it? I need to drive the car for 7 months.

I have no clue on the value rate of where you are but wet belt is fords worst idea to date. If you believe you can trust the belt was done then it might be worth taking the chance if your not going to be driving it hard or consistently within that 7 months ( based on a factor if they haven't done it really ) milage isn't a problem it's how there looked after that matters.

I'm guessing that's 166k km?  Not miles?  I wouldn't be buying any Fiesta at 166k miles, let alone a 1.0 EcoBoost.

As above though, I wouldn't trust that the belts had been done properly, so definitely wouldn't buy this car.

What else can you get locally for 3000 EUR?
