Focus eco boost juddering

Featured Replies

Hi folks my 2019 Ford focus eco boost yes may only have 3 cylinders, but while at idle won’t go above 4000 revs. I only checked this because it had been juddering and spitting at speed so had for replace the vvt valve and it still judders at acceleration point, almost sounds like it’s misfiring. Help please

That is 100% correct because the rev limiter stops you revving the engine to destruction when not in gear and driving.

Have you used FORScan to check to see if it is ?

It's unlikely because if there was a misfire then the EML would be on.

My Ford Focus Eco boost is juddering when accelerating. I switched of the traction control and it still happens.  Whenever I go to accelerate it happens. The engine has only done approximately 17800 miles! should I be concerned? Thanks
