Focus Mk3 1.6T Unleaded Fuel Advice?

Featured Replies

Recently during refilling the basic unleaded as I noticed small sticker on fuel cap "95 RON" and SUPER UNLEADED which is left myself puzzled becase of it might be outdated verison.

I aware that Focus 1.6T is E10 safe but anyone tries premium that E5 might have better timing and better fuel effectively as according Google say that E10 cause that automatic timing much more retarder than E5 reasulting less fuel effectively?!
I'm not sure if google was right or wrong. I dont have £££ to ***** up fuel system due E10 stuff.

I thought to rather post here and getting understanding for me. I thought I should premium because it's how should designed for it?

Use E5 fuel if you can afford to do so.

The E10 fuel is better suited to much newer engines although your 2013 Focus will be ok to use it.

Premium unleaded petrol E5 (like 97-99 RON) is a higher-octane fuel

Regular unleaded petrol E10 (95 RON) is what most cars will run on these days.

Right I'll ignored RON bs and next time once full tank burn off and I'll put premium at BP nearest my area.
