As I was driving my 2017 1L ecoboost focus I got an oil wanring light on my dash that shortly lead to a extreme rattle coming from my engine compartment, I immediately pulled over and got my car towed, ive tried explaining it to machanics and everyone in my local area is refusing to work on it, does anyone have any idea what is up with it and roughly how much it would be to fix it?

Any tips would be much appreciated thanks

    Hi, the oil pump pickup has clogged with debris from a failing wetbelt.  The engine is now scrap and will need to be completely replaced.  I'm not surprised you can't find anyone to work on it, these engines are notorious for this fault now.

    Pumaspeed offer brand new engines at better prices than Ford dealers.

    Yes, I can give you almost to the penny how much it will cost. £3781.38 (inc. VAT)

    Of course you'll need to arrange to get it to the garage.
