Petrol

Featured Replies

Which Petrol do you use and recommend?

I used to use Asda or Esso unleaded, but the last 3 times I've used either BP Premium, or Tesco's Momentum 99.

Tesco's Momentum 99 all the time.

Asda cheapie stuff for me, until I win the lottery.🤩

For pretty much the life of my car I’ve always used Shell super unleaded but all my local petrol stations have switched to Esso now so I’m using their equivalent

Normally Tesco Momentum 99 in current ST and previous 1.0 140 Ecoboost. It's my nearest filling station anyway, plus you get Clubcard points!😀.

What's petrol? 🤣

Do they still offer Clubcard points on Electron99?

..... and the answer is 'Yes' 🤣

Tesco EV charging costs range from approximately

£0.44/kWh (7kW) to £0.69/kWh (75kW), with prices varying by charger speed (7kW, 22kW, 50kW, 75kW), managed by their partner Pod Point. While once free, charging now costs money, but members can earn Clubcard points on charging spend, and contactless payment is available on rapids.

I always use Shell. Looking through my fuel spreadsheet, I have only filled up with non-Shell 3 times since owning the car in June 2019! 😮The last time was Oct 2020.

I do it for loyalty points. They used to give you a reward every 10 fills, now they are turned into points and you can redeem them whenever you like. Last time I did, (few weeks ago) I got £4 off a tankful.

I will stick to 7p /kWh at home thanks. With the rest of household 24/7 averaging 8p. Or in mpg speak, 470mpg.

How are you getting it that cheap?  My off-peak rate is about 20p/kWh now.
