Help! Transmission limited function/service now

Featured Replies

Good afternoon,

History-i have a 2017 automatic 1.5 Diesel ford kuga and have owned it for a year now, I had a gear box service at Ford with genuine Ford parts when I bought the car, it’s also had a new turbo, cam Belt and water pump. All at Ford. I really look after the car and get it serviced at Ford whenever it asks for it

while driving home from wales (3 1/2hr drive) my car had a service now message appear in the dash shortly followed by transmission limited function see manual, then the abs light came on and the car started skipping gears and the revs were really high. I pulled over turned the engine off waited 5 minutes then turned it back on and every was temporarily ok, i drove another hour and half all fine.

a few days later i drove 10 minutes down the road and it did the exact same thing again. Turned the engine off and all ok until it did it again a few days later.

my brother in law has scanned the car and no fault codes are stored.

Has anybody come across this before and if so what was the diagnosis! Any help greatly appreciated

thank you
