Vibration Ford Fiesta 1.5 2015

Featured Replies

I bought this car a week ago. It's a 2015 1.5 tdci. The thing is, it vibrates even when stationary. All you have to do is accelerate, and when it reaches 1200 rpm it vibrates, and then above 1500 it vibrates, but much less. I've already changed the engine mounts and it's still the same. Has anyone else experienced this?

Did you buy it vibrating?

DaveT70 Yes, I bought it thinking it was the mounts, but I've already changed them. My mechanic says it's the dual mass flywheel.

Possibly, unless it's an injector fault/missfire or worse😬

Does a 5 speed Fiesta diesel even have DMF? I thought not??

Someone will be along to advise.

Yes, it has DMF and is a 6-speed. The mechanic said he was almost certain it was the dual mass flywheel.

That's where I'd be looking then, after confirming the injectors are OK😉👍

But I really don't remember MK7 Fiesta having a six speed gearbox other than ST

Thanks for the replies.

It's a Ford Focus. I made a mistake when I wrote above.

If its the DMF and vibrating like you say, you should feel it through the clutch pedal when you press lightly on it.
