Hello. 

I'm looking at a 2020 Galaxy with 2.0 Ecoblue engine. 

Before I go to see it I wanted to get some info on how it should have been maintained. 

Can anyone tell me what the service intervals are?

Also what is the recommend time for the wet belt to be done? I've read 100,000 miles or 10 years but I've also read that it's been reduced to 6 years. 

Does anyone have any experience of this?

If you buy it make sure the oil was changed very, very often.

If it's longer than 12 months in between walk away.

The belt should be changed now to be honest, budget £1000+ for the job, then every 5 years

Run on good quality diesel, change the oil every 6 months and allow the vehicle to complete regens

The one I've seen is a 2020 2.0 Ecoblue. 

As far as I can see from the photos of the service record the services from new have been at these intervals:

17 months 18,600 miles. 

12 months 17,400 miles.

13 months 16,800 miles. 

17 months 17,200 miles. 

No record of the wet belt having been done yet. 

Would those intervals ring alarm bells?
