Focus MK4 turning ACC on

Featured Replies

Hey all,

So I've read a lot about turning the ACC on, I have all the required hardware, but started to worry if it is okay to turn on ACC with specific ABS module. I heard that you need EBB for features like TJA and so on, but also heard that someone overheated their ABS due to braking with ACC.

Could you confirm or deny this info? Anyone in the forum that turned on ACC with generic ABS and currently have no issues?

I have activated ACC in my focus. I had radar factory mounted. My ABS module is:

Didn't experience any issue so far. I'm driving with this like 6 years. Maybe I wasn't using it too much to get any issues. Also followed a few forums on this topic and never came across any info about issues with overheating. One point, my car is manual, so TJA was not possible.
