hi all. was wondering if I can get some help i have a bundle of error codes. no engine management light on dash. when I shift in to reverse it is getting stuck and I have to stall the car or turn it off. this is intermittent and does not always happen. I have checked with forscan and all these codes come up. your help would be much appreciated

Hi,

There aren't any electronics on a manual gearbox so nothing for Forscan to detect. Getting stuck in reverse is likely to be caused by a clutch fault.

It could be the clutch itself, or the master or slave cylinders. Unless an obvious fault can be seen, we generally recommend starting with the Master Cylinder as that is the cheapest and easiest option. If that doesn't help then the gearbox has to be removed to replace the clutch plates and slave cylinder at much greater cost.
