2018 AWD 2.0ltr Display failure

Featured Replies

Hi All,

This is new for me me and i am not a mechanic.

i recently purchased a 2018 Ford Kuga quiet clean motor with high milage 240,000kms. I got it checked over and had a few small issues , it was leaking some water but I think the mechanic has that sorted But what has happened is the back Calliper was not engaging with the electronic hand brake and the orange light came on and then the red light with a constant bell ringing, also at the same time the whole radio display went dead , the car drove ok and i got it to the garage where we had purchased a new calliper but when the mechanic got it up on the lift he noticed the wiring loom to it was all twisted up so unplugged it and tidied it up and plugged it back in and the calliper was working perfect started the car and it was all good, took it down off the lift and went to start it again and nothing not even an ignition light, anyone encounter anything like this before. I am drawn to the issue with the display going down at the very same time the fault cam in the brakes, any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated, we are going to look at this today with an auto electrician, my mechanic believes it could be an issue in the wiring behind the display as he has checked all the fuses and relays and all is ok, the only thing now is the diagnostic's cant read with no power ???
