Part Number

Featured Replies

Which is the part number and can I find equivalents ?

I am trying to replace the fuel pump on my Mk2 Mondeo 1.8 Petrol, X - reg.

I have tried several online retailers, initial search says they have the part, but when I put reg' in they haven't !

I have tried 7Zap & catcar.info/ford/?lang=en but no fuel supply parts listed.

None of those are Ford part numbers I'm afraid. The pump and sender assembly comes as a complete unit from Ford.

Fuel parts are shown on catcar but older catalogues are slightly more awkward to navigate. Look for 'engine parts mounted on body' then 'fuel tank and related'.

You can replace just that motor for an aftermarket part if you like. Just need to make sure it has the correct connections.

Thanks, I will go back through catcar and double check. I will also look at the sender unit itself, though they are quite expensive.

I have found a possible motor online but would prefer a local supplier, so as you suggest I can confirm electrical connections to pump.

1118631 is the part number for the assembly on catcar, thanks for the explanation on how to locate.

I have been shopping around for the fuel sender, the ones available are either not correct or are into 3 figures.

There does seem to be a few pumps around, mainly from Autodoc.

They start at £13 but I'm leaning toward Magneti for £23, is Magneti still a decent make do we know ?
